In an effort to bring greater visibility to the training available to campus communicators and anticipated timelines for the website development project, we introduce below the key components of our upcoming training for campus communicators to develop and implement content following best practices for the new website development project. Registration information will be provided to contacts that submit this registration form for the upcoming session. Web Content Approvers should be appointed by July 7, 2020, one week before the first training session. Questions regarding training can be directed to your assigned strategist.
Writing for the Web 101 and CMU Branding
July 14, 2020 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m. or 1-4:30 p.m. 3.5 hours
This session is an introduction to the key concepts of web writing focused on the creation of a foundation that will be built upon during later sessions. The second half of this session is an introduction to the branding guidelines for communicators to incorporate as they are writing.

This session is an introduction to the Information Architecture and a discussion of the page creation process. The second half of this session will be focused on Gather Content, our platform for collaborating on new website content, including the built-in writing and review processes.
