Each year, the University Libraries recognizes CMU faculty and staff who have published a book in the preceding year. Sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the University Libraries, the annual Book Recognition Event recognizes the creative achievements of CMU authors, editors, illustrators, and translators. Their varied and interesting books reflect a range of research subjects, interests, and expertise. You can view past recipients online and can browse the book collection located on the north end of the Park Library’s second floor.
This year marks the 18th annual Book Recognition Event celebrating works published in 2021. Our CMU colleagues published or edited books on a variety of subjects including history, immunology, Millennials’ spending habits, rural public health, short stories, and teaching methods.
Please join us on Wednesday, April 13, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. for a reception in the Fabiano Garden’s gazebo. There will not be a formal program this year, and in case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Park Library’s Strosacker Room. Honorees from 2020, 2021, and 2022 are invited to attend with their colleagues and families.
