Revised Mask Guidelines and Visiting the University Libraries, March 2022

On March 18, CMU announced that masks are optional in non-classroom and non-instructional indoor spaces on campus. Within the Libraries’ public areas, including study areas and meeting and event spaces, individuals may choose to wear, or not wear, a mask based on their personal preference. All folks should respect an individual’s choice to wear or not wear a mask.

All students attending classes or participating in instructional activities in the Park Library must continue to wear masks during their class/instructional sessions, regardless of vaccination status. Some academic support centers continue to require masks including the Certified Testing Center, the Curriculum Instruction Support classroom, the Math Assistance Center, the Statistical Consulting Center, and the Writing Center.

CMU students, employees, and visitors are to self-screen each day before coming to campus. You can read more information about CMU’s COVID-19 response on the COVID-19 Information and Resources website.
