During the 2019-2020 academic year, a typical student visited the Park Library 25 times, or about once a week, reserved a group study room at least once, and borrowed two physical books.
However, fall 2020 is not a typical semester. We’ve noticed fewer students in the Park Library building, and with the social distancing measures in place, individual study is much easier than group study. Our new contactless book pickup service is convenient and popular, and we ship physical books to folks who live outside Isabella county, so don’t go without resources you need to accomplish your course assignments.
During the 2019-2020 academic year, a typical student downloaded 64 articles, viewed 25 e-book chapters and used library research guides 20 times.
This year, whether your classes are HyFlex or online or you live near or far away from Mount Pleasant, CMU Libraries’ online resources are available wherever you are. If you need help, you can set up a virtual appointment with a librarian or ask a question via email.
If you did use the library last year like a typical student, you would have received over $2,000 worth of resources and services. Whether you use the library a lot or a little, we’re here to assist you during your academic journey!
