Reflection of Online Lesson

The process of creating my online lesson went very well. I wanted to incorporate in class learning with online learning together. I wanted the students to engage in the classroom with the teacher about the topic, which is brainstorming. I came up with different activities to do in the class to get ready to complete a graphic organizer independently that could be a choice by the student whether to complete it online or on paper. In my lesson, there are links to different activities and information that all revolve around the topic of brainstorming for a writing piece.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this lesson. For me it was very fun. I absolutely have a passion for education and really want to make a difference in students learning some day. Given more time I would have dedicated myself to finding more online resources or more ways to incorporate online technology to my lesson. I had a difficult time coming up with different ways to incorporate online resources because I like face-to-face learning in the elementary classroom. I know in this day and age technology is very important to implement especially starting at a young age. So, I added in different links and resources to my lesson plan that will really assist the students in their learning process in creating a successful, meaningful graphic organizer.

This online lesson made me grow as a learner, teacher, and designer of learning experiences by teaching me that I need to think thoroughly of every detail I want there to be in the lesson because if I were to leave this lesson plan for a substitute teacher I would want them to be able to complete it the way I would as I wrote it out. I really enjoyed creating this lesson and thought very hard to make significant points to help to create success for my students.
