Thanks to several endowments and the library student employee scholarship gift fund, the University Libraries provided scholarships to thirteen library student employees this year.
Iboro Obot Udoete is a graduate student in the Public Health program. She is interested in global health and HIV care, especially for underserved populations. According to Iboro, “Working in the library has not only allowed me to perfect my research skills, which is essential for my career path, but has also allowed me to work and learn from colleagues from different countries and ethnicities.”
For Nichole Hochthanner, working in the Clarke Historical Library helped her see a connection between her major in Art History, her minor in Museum Studies, and library science. Nichole is graduating in December 2021 and eventually plans to continue her education in cultural resource management or library science.
