MASP – Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand, São Paulo, Brazil
This unique and wild fashion collection was the result of a collaboration between art, fashion, design and industry.
Rhodia, a French chemical manufacturer promoted its synthetic fabrics in Brazil through fashion spectacles in the 1960s. This was one of the most revolutionary periods in the history of fashion, and the bold patterns reflect the contemporary art trends of geometric abstraction and pop art. Brazil’s fascination with soccer is evident in several of the prints.
