During fall semester, CMU Libraries will provide e-reserves only as we have been doing since mid-March. We will not circulate physical course reserve materials at the Checkout Desk. Guidance from the Institute of Museums and Library Services advises books to be quarantined upon return for several days which is not conducive to physical course reserve materials that are frequently checked out and handled by many people within the same day.
Please contact your subject librarian for assistance in finding alternative materials. Since mid-March, we have scanned selected book chapters and have purchased streaming media and e-books to support courses that previously used physical course reserve materials. We will continue providing these options during fall semester.
Please contact our Course Reserves Specialist, Laurie Bellinger, to obtain articles and book chapters from other libraries, acquire copyright permissions, and post the items you need to Blackboard.
