Let CIS Help You Prepare for Spring

Let CIS Help You Prepare for Spring

We want to take this opportunity to share some resources which will remain available to you during the holiday closure and highlight what we have available to support you when we return on January 4, 2021.

Selected OnDemand Resources:

  • Consider your student engagement strategies – Borrow sample language to update your syllabi with important information about your course format and logistics. Include relevant resources for students from these materials.
If your class will be blended, HyFlex, or otherwise bi-modal, review our Engaging Two Audiences at the Same Time video.
  • Check your room – Investigate your spring teaching space by visiting OIT’s knowledgebase article; open the “HyFlexClassrooms_8182020.xlsx” attachment to locate your room to determine its type (1, 2, 3, or A).
You can then review the technology you can expect in your classroom.
  • Brush up on the technology – Review the technologies available to you and think through your plans for how, when, and for what purpose(s) you might leverage certain tools.
  • Scrutinize your assessment techniques – Invest time in reflecting on the past two semesters to identify student knowledge. From formative in-class methods to more formal projects, quizzes, and exams, a variety of options can work well with various course formats.
