Superman Ice Cream

Superman ice cream is the widely recognized Michigan and Midwest ice cream combining red, blue, and yellow shades with corresponding flavors of cherry, blue moon —itself a Michigan invention—and lemon flavors. While the exact origins of Superman ice cream are not known, most sources attribute it to the now defunct Stroh’s ice cream factory in Detroit. This ice cream flavor was named because of the similarity in colors to DC Comics’ Superman although there is no legal affiliation between the ice cream and DC Comics.
