I’m sure like many people in Michigan, Vernors Ginger Ale was what you drank whenever you felt sick. It’s now become somewhat of a running joke, but in this state, we treat Vernors like a medical cure-all. In our house, if your stomach was upset you drank it flat and at room temperature to let the ginger settle it. The only downside is that now I associate the taste with being sick! But it’s also excellent in making a Boston Cooler.
