Over the years, CIS has allowed me to increase my effectiveness as an educator. Participating in a variety of workshops and completing the structured assignment modules for teaching online courses helped me create and implement innovative, engaging teaching strategies that promote student success.
While navigating the challenges of shifting to Hyflex teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic, CIS’ instructional videos and resources provided me with the pedagogical steps to assist in aligning course goals, objectives, and learning outcomes to better connect and engage with students while meeting the exigencies of an unfamiliar teaching modality. With CIS’ support, I now feel more oriented as to what tools and resources are more suitable for remote teaching. For this reason, I will continue teaching Hyflex courses.”
